Topic

Implementing a new application or re-engineering an existing application often pops up the question which platform will be used to support your business successfully.

Such an exercise is not straightforward. Many factors influence platform selection; unfortunately, a simple matrix does not exist.

Attempting to satisfy a business requirement with an inappropriate IT platform costs

more, if indeed it can be achieved at all. "Fit for purpose" is the objective of selecting a platform, and the choice you make has to balance strategy and legacy at the same time.
The purpose of this pitch is to provide you with a method and a structured approach to perform a documented work product as the base for a further exploration of the options. Futhermore, you can join in to perform a simple exercise during which you can test this method and base it on your own environment.
